March Madness Hot Sauce Competition Round 1 Game 3

Alright alright alright! Our next game continues with the chicken tenders. For round one, game three, the two hot sauces to compete are Memphis Hot Two Pepper Sauce and Puckett’s Boat House Pepper Sauce.

Memphis Hot Two Pepper is in the same bottle as the Ghost pepper hot sauce bottle with a photo of the Memphis skyline but in blue.

I took the bottle of hot sauce and put it on a chicken tender. I tasted the sauce and liked it and the flavor. It reminded me of something similar to Tabasco sauce but more flavorful.

Puckett’s Boat House Pepper Sauce is in the regular hot sauce bottle. It;’s a white label with black red and blue labeling. Puckett’s Boat House is actually a restaurant.

The sauce came out with a thin consistency. It had a flavor unlike any hot sauce I had ever tasted before. When I bit into the chicken, it made me realize that I had a hard decision to make…. Which hot sauce is better.

This is a reminder of how the sauce will be rated.

The hot sauces will be rated on a scale of 1-5, 1 being the least, and 5 being the most. The categories are:
1. Spiciness
2. Flavor
3. Taste on the food for the round

Memphis Hot Two Pepper Sauce
Spiciness – 3
Flavor – 3.5
Taste – 3.5

Puckett’s Boat House Pepper Sauce.

Spiciness – 3.5
Flavor – 4
Taste – 3.5

This round was so close, Puckett’s Boat House Pepper Sauce for the win!

Memphis Hot Two Pepper Sauce was really good but it was familiar. It reminded me of Tabasco sauce. Tabasco sauce is great but it isn’t what I was looking for.

Puckett’s Boat House Pepper Sauce was exactly what I wanted for a in taste for my chicken. It was the right amount of spice, flavor, and taste.

Disclaimer. I drank soda in between heat tastings to clean my pallet.
